For managers

  • How do I add and invite my team?

Open Team → Add employee (or Paste a list). Save them on the roster first. When ready, use Invite to email a portal link or copy the link. Status goes Saved → Invited → Active after they accept.

  • How do I build and publish a week?

Open Schedule, pick the week, then Generate or fill cells by hand. Review coverage and hours, then Publish so the team can see it. Draft weeks stay private until you publish. A first-visit overlay walks the Schedule page; replay it from this Help page.

  • Where do time off and availability live?

Time off and Availability appear in the menu when enabled under Settings → Team portal features. Managers can approve requests there; employees submit from their own menu.

  • How do dropped shifts work?

The marketplace is for dropped shifts: someone releases a shift they cannot work, and eligible coworkers can claim it in-app. Optional manager approval lives under Settings → Team portal features. Claims show in the store portal; push alerts when a shift is offered are still on the roadmap.

  • Can I add another location?

Yes. Settings → Locations → add a store ($15/month extra on the same bill, up to 10). Each location has its own schedule and team. Switch with the store name at the top. Roles copy over; the roster starts empty. You can add people from a sister store on Team.

  • How do I assign a manager to only one store?

Invite them on that store’s Team first. Then Team → Edit → Manager of this store. Owner is the person who created the store — it is not a job on the roster. The same person can be a manager at one shop and a team member at another.

  • How do I turn on cross-location shift trading?

Only if you want it. Off until the owner and both stores turn it on under Settings → Team portal features, then you mark who may claim a dropped shift at the destination store (Team). Hours stay with the store that needed the shift.

  • How do I close a location?

Settings → Locations → close that store. The group bill drops by $15. Do not cancel the Stripe subscription unless you want every location off. Schedules stay in history.

  • How does billing work?

$15 per location per month after a 14-day free trial, on one bill. Add or close sister stores in Settings → Locations. Start or manage the plan under Settings → Billing. Publishing and invites may require an active trial or subscription.

  • Can I replay the product tours?

Yes. Use Replay tours on this Help page for Workspace, Schedule, and Locations. They also run the first time you visit those screens.

Replay tutorials

Short overlays that walk through Workspace, Schedule, and Locations. Same ones that appear the first time you visit.

Log in and open your store once, then come back here to replay.

For employees

  • How do I accept an invite and see my schedule?

Open the invite link from your manager, create a login if needed, then use My schedule. Only published weeks show for the team.

  • How do I change notification preferences?

On My schedule (or your profile prefs), set email, text, and voice reminders if your manager has enabled them and your contact info is on file. SMS requires opting in.

  • How do I set availability or request time off?

If your manager turned those features on, they appear in your menu. Submit availability or a time-off request there; your manager approves it.

  • How do I drop or claim a shift?

On a published shift you cannot work, drop it so eligible coworkers can claim it. Claims may need manager approval. You will see open dropped shifts in the store portal.

  • Can I pick up a shift at another location?

Only if your owner turned on cross-location trading, both stores allow it, and a manager marked you eligible at the store that needs coverage. Hours stay with that store.
